Other discussions seem to indicate that the setting change was only necessary with older models, and that on newer models it's not required. In browsing I came across some discussions that indicate that a storage setting on the camera needs to be changed to "PTP." However, I'm not finding this setting on my D7200. Unfortunately, when I start Sofortbild and turn on my camera, Sofortbild doesn't recognize that a camera is attached.
All major camera settings like shutter speed, aperture, exposure, white balance, iso, image format and size and matrix mode are shown and can be changed from inside Sofortbild. I also obtained a five-foot USB cable with the correct plug to fit the camera. Sofortbild automatically recognizes your camera and shows camera model, lens name, focal length, focus mode, exposure value and battery status in a status bar. Sofortbild's website doesn't indicate that it supports the D7200, but since it does support the D7100 I was hoping that my camera would work as well.

I just like to move ra and dec just a touch in random directions.I'm interested in tethering my D7200 to a MacBook Pro, but am having some trouble getting the link going. It’s not too hard because I have a spotter scope that I can look through and make sure I don’t move around too far off target. So do you remember if there was a way to set the exposure time in smart shooter? For example if I select bulb mode can I set it for 300 seconds? Also about dithering, I can easily manually dither.
